The vision of Seniors Matter is to enhance the well-being of all South Morrow County seniors.

We support our senior community in a variety of ways. Our priorities are:

  • Providing a weekly free senior luncheon with guest speakers.

  • Connecting seniors to senior-related resources.

  • Hosting enrichment classes and activities.

  • Organizing support groups and education services.

AWARDED THE 2024 OREGON RURAL QUALITY EXCELLENCE AWARD

On October 3rd, 2024, at the 41st Annual Oregon Rural Health Conference, South Morrow County Seniors Matter received the 2024 Oregon Rural Quality Excellence Award for a Community-Based Organization!

The OHSU Oregon Office of Rural Health grants the award annually to that Oregon Community Organization that has demonstrated “outstanding resourcefulness, teamwork, and creativity when addressing quality improvement aims.”

The awarding committee summarized their selection by saying: “This is an amazing asset to South Morrow County and is making a wonderful impact on your senior population. Job well done—you all should be proud!”
